TYING THE KNOT

Friday, June 3 to Sunday, September 11, 2022

This summer exhibit presents eight decades of wedding gowns and other wedding memorabilia including bridesmaid, flower girl and mother-of-the bride dresses.

​

Two Kirkman brides’ dresses are of highlighted: Fanny Ann Kirkman’s gown when she wed Allen Reynolds in 1894 and Carol White’s dress when she and William Greer Kirkman married in 1962.These dresses have not been on display for seven years. Many of the other dresses in this exhibit have been donated the past two years while the museum was closed.

Many extensive wedding articles drawn from Walla Walla Union Bulletin’s society pages and other local newspapers will also be on display.They provide vivid descriptions of many historic Walla Walla weddings.

Admission: Adults $10, children 7 to 17 $5
Kirkman House and NARM members,
children 6 and under, and veterans: Free
